March 2018/Music Class Contents

Effective Date:
Monday, March 5, 2018

During this month all SAS classes from PK4 to 8th grade will spend time learning/reviewing/reinforcing new and old music theory, music appreciation, and music history concepts. Vocal/instrumental responses in music class will include singing/playing May Crowning school mass songs and continuing to review 4-beat rhythm patterns. An evaluation on each of these objectives will be assessed for every student on or before the end of the month. Classical music highlights of the month to be revisited are German Baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bach (b. 03/21/1685) and the so called "Father of the Symphony" Austrian composer of the Classical era Joseph Haydn (b. 03/31/1732)
