About Us

St. Agatha Catholic School (SAS) was founded in 1983 and successfully graduated the first eighth grade class in 1992.  All graduates of SAS are automatically made part of the Saint Agatha Catholic School Alumni Association after successful completion of the eighth grade.  Anyone wishing to participate after having attended and successfully completed at least three academic years may also apply to become part of SAS Alumni Association.

At the SAS Alumni Association, it is our goal to reach, serve and engage all SAS alumni.  Wherever you are in the world and whatever stage of life you are in right now, we want to connect with you.

Please connect with us today and make sure we have your contact information.

Our Mission

The St. Agatha Catholic School (SAS) Alumni Association seeks to reach, serve and engage all SAS alumni and students; to foster a lifelong intellectual and emotional connection between the School and its graduates; and to provide the School with goodwill and support.

Our History

In August of 1983, under the leadership of Father Armando Balado and Sister Catherine Olguin IHM, St. Agatha Catholic School opened its door to two kindergarten classes. These classrooms were dismantled every Friday so the space could be used to celebrate the weekend masses. The classrooms were reassembled on Sunday evenings and learning continued without interruption.

How we’ve grown!

Groundbreaking for the school building took place in March of 1985 and masses in the new church building were celebrated in 2000 under the leadership of our then Pastor, Bishop Felipe Estevez and principal Dr. Carlota Morales.

The Msgr. Armando Balado Library and Media Center was christened in September 2008 by Archbishop Favalora.

Our school is led by our principal Mrs. Patricia S. Hernandez and  is proud to be part of the St. Agatha Catholic Church parish community led by our pastor Father Marcos Somarriba.
